How do I water my Living Tapestries fence?

There are
several ways this can be accomplished: several of the kits have a tray and pump
included with them and are very popular for solariums, kitchen herb gardens, and
apartment and condo patios. We also offer several accessories (such as battery
timers, Y connections with shut off, and hose-to-pipe connectors) that enable
units to run off of a garden hose (see Accessories
list). If you have an
Irrigation system already, we recommend that you hook your unit to it using a
separate irrigation valve.

How do I plant my Living Tapestries fence?
Planting is easy
and fun using the directions either from our web site or those included with
each kit. We recommend that over time you purchase extra moss (available from our
Accessories list) to fill panels as the moss settles.

How do I fertilize my Living Tapestries fence?
There are
several ways to accomplish fertilizing. We carry an in-line fertilizing unit
accessory or you may use a foliar feed spray hose adapter. These spray adapters
are made by several companies that use the granular water-soluble fertilizers, such as Miracle Grow. However, the accessory unit
slowly
releases fertilizer throughout the unit without the hassle and mess of a spray.

What kind of plants can I grow in my Living Tapestries fence?
We provide a
suggested plant list both on our web site as well as with each kit. The plants
listed have been tested and several are based on customer referrals. We do not
recommend woody plants such as shrubs grapes or trees. Ivies work great in the
Living Tapestries kit, especially when mixed with a variety of annuals or herbs.

What is provided with my Living Tapestries kit?
On our web site,
each Living Tapestries model has a listing of what is included in the individual
kit. Also, every kit includes the original planting medium (moss),
interconnecting irrigation hardware, and all necessary assembly hardware. You
will need to supply tools and extra materials for in-ground (ground recessed)
installation.

Can I install my Living Tapestries kit myself?
All Living
Tapestries kits can be installed by the home handyperson with several tools and
materials purchased from your local hardware store, if necessary. Installation
instructions are included with each kit as well as on our web site. The smaller
kits are very easy to install with a few tools and minimal time. For the
larger kits, although a home handyperson may also install these, we recommend
that you have a local landscaping company install the unit, including hooking up
the irrigation system.

Can I have my Living Tapestries kit customized?
Yes, we do get
frequent requests to create custom kits for homes or businesses, including
wheelchair accessible kits. Custom kits can take up to 8 weeks for delivery and
do require an additional charge. We have tried to construct a variety of kits to
minimize the need for custom orders.

How long does it take to get my Living Tapestries kit?
We manufacture
in several regions, and the average shipping time is a couple of weeks. Some
models are in very high demand and have a backorder period that will be noted
when ordering. All kits are U.P.S. (unless a multiple order is cheaper through a
trucking company). All shipping charges will be the responsibility of the
consumer.
